Friday Faff

No comments from the peanut gallery/Chocoholic tonight please.

Because on THIS Friday Faff, we DINED.

We had a rather modest cast of characters tonight, plus the gluten-free factor to contend with. I decided on some stuffed zucchini, and asked the Philosopher to work his magic with creating our zucchini boats before filling them (guys love that kind of stuff, right?).

We fried up some organic local onions (yes, you can tell), organic local tomatoes (you can’t really tell) and Toulousian sausage, then piled our handcrafted zucchini boats high. We sprinkled with mozzarella and parmesan, and waited not-so-patiently for 20 minutes while they roasted in the oven. Interestingly, while we were waiting, the leg of our JokkMokk IKEA table fell off. Coincidence??! Yum.

And then a little GF chocolate cake to top it all off!
We’re happy. Come on camera, don’t give up yet!

  1. I’m making stuffed marrow (large zucchini) too tonight – “great minds,,,”
(Un)Fortunately the Chocoholic will not be dining in!

  2. Now that’s something to dance about. It looks yummy. Hummm, I may go pick some zucchini from our garden right now ;0) Thanks for the inspiration. Oh, and did I mention that dancing video was charming. If we could only dance like that after one lesson!

  3. Can not tell a lie! I love the pics of you and The Philosopher (sp?) the best, but your cooking skills are inspired and I am stuffing my zucchini tomorrow night!
