An unfinished house of praise

Anton Gaudi’s unfinished cathedral – La Sagrada Familia – is the one thing you must do if visiting Barcelona with an aversion to paying for tourist attractions. Just fork over the cash. You won’t regret it.

I wish I could prove it to you in pictures, but even more than usual they cannot even begin to describe the feel of being in the place, which is that of suddenly stepping into an underground alien cave on Mars. And not Hollywood-style. We’re talking genuine aliens.

Whoops – how’d that sneak in there? Guess this modern working girl can’t resist a chance to show off a certain pair of green eyes.

The view from Parc Guell. And look – the sea!
