Friday Faff

It’s that time of the week again! This is what the cat dragged in:Including my newest obsession: so salty, so good. And you can grill it!
I decided against the couscous. There’s something about unopened packets of things that makes me want to, I don’t know, preserve their potential/innocence or something.

So we went for some broiled brocc and pancetta…

With some fried HALLOUMI! and tomatoes…
Over a bed of rocket (arugula) and mixed greens. No dressing needed! (Ok, the Philosopher insisted. But I held out and that pepper/olive oil-y flavour was so worth it.)Another thing we faffed was our “Christmas tree”. £10 for the “tree” and £1 pound for the baubles. He’s smiling but he’s actually deeply suspicious of the whole mini-fake-tree-that’s-been-sitting-on-top-of-our-dresser-for-a-year thing. Oh well. It’s someone’s birthday today!!!! No complaining when a pile of presents awaits.

  1. My favorite part? “traditional Mediterranean cheese made from 100% English sheep milk.” Looks delicious though! I’ve never had it.
