The power of the pen

Today, I secretaried a Board Meeting for our Trustees. Board Member X, a presumably fantastically wealthy investment banker who retired in his 40s and now independently consults in the City, spent most of the meeting drawing geometric configurations on the back of his board papers. He periodically piped up with some astute comment or another which was received with sage nods by the team. Perhaps doodling really is a productivity tool.

Feeling a distinct lack of engagement compounded by the fact that the only pastries they had were nut-laden and therefore poisonous, I gave his technique a try on the Paintbrush app.

I call it, “Stained Glass Trustees”.

Nothing astute followed, but… I think I just need more practice.

Do you doodle?
