One fantastic way to shake off the day’s troubles is to:
1) pick a friend
2) pick a location
3) pick a time
4) meet and share
5) replay steps 1-4 on a weekly basis
A few weeks ago a friend of mine and I initiated the above cycle, to my delight. A bit more than a coffee + chat, we meet expressly to share how we are not just what’s going on. Then, we pray together. Sometimes, I even get a hot tea out of the arrangement.
If you are anything like me, then somehow the 9-5 eats up way more hours than 8 in a day. It’s hard enough keeping crumbs swept, lunches made and evening meetings attended to consider adding another weekly calendar blob, right? Wrong! This one is totally worth it. It has a mysterious ability to add mental space in the brain clutter. When you look at your calendar, what other event can do that?!
